This listing is for the Bluetooth modification only. No circuit board housing is supplied. There are options, which will allow you to buy a period fuel pump kit for the housing and also the power mod, which the Bluetooth is designed to work with.
If you have already purchased a power mod from us, then you do NOT need to select this as an option.
Overview
As many of you 1/12 Scale Routemaster owners will know, switching the lighting on the model can be a pain, especially if you have your model pride of place in an enclosed cabinet or have a perspex cover.
Horlix has developed a “Plug & Play” Bluetooth modification kit called the Bluemaster that will let you control all lighting functions and the rear platform bell straight from your phone or tablet.
It’s as simple as making connections on the Routemaster circuit board to interact with the Bluemaster. This has been designed to allow the original buttons on the Routemaster to work as intended as well as implementing the Bluetooth technology.
No options, you’ll receive:
1 x Bluemaster Bluetooth Mod
1 x Instruction leaflet
Option : Include Fuel Pump, you'll receive, in addition to the Bluetooth mod:
1 x 3D Printed Fuel Pump Kit (unpainted)
Option : Include Power Mod, you'll receive, in addition to the Bluetooth mod:
1 x UK Mains Adapter, 6v 2amp (reduced to 4.5v)
1 x EU, US or AUS wall plug adapter (select not required if using in UK)
1 x 2 Pin cable for power into the Routemaster
1 x Power connector that allows you to decide where on the Routemaster to plug the input from the mains adapter
**NOTE** The power mod, if purchased with the bluetooth mod is at a reduced price.
Software:
A bespoke android app has been written to connect your device to the bluetooth mod and operate the various Routemaster functions.
Android users can download the app from here or you can use the QR code.
IOS users can download the “Blexar” app from the app store here - this is at an additional cost.
Instructions will be provided in the leaflet for both apps.
No instructions on the best method of fitting / routing cables as we find everyone has their own style. However, if your models battery box is against the wall you can simply leave the magnetic battery cover off once fitted.
